Beauty of Joseon Radiance cleansing balm helps you take the day off. Firstly, I was very intrigued with this brand; Beauty of Joseon and did a little read up to discover its formulated with natural hanbang (traditional Korean herbal medicine) ingredients. The said natural ingredients are rice bran water, lavender water, starflower, cornflower extract, chamomile, clary, hyacinth flower/leaf extract, Lactobacillus ferment and soybean ferment extract. Featuring solid cleansing balm, that melts in your hand not in the bathroom, with little to no fragrance and best of all doesn't turn mushy liquid in the hot Malaysian weather. It is a cleansing balm for removing makeup effectively in one wash. Non-irritating. Definitely one of the better solid cleansing balms that I have used. This smooth cleansing balm has a sherbet-like soft texture with very fine graininess from the fat crystal. The graininess disappear when melted on skin as I massaged gently to whisk away makeup, dirt, and excess oil without irritating or drying out skin. I don't need a secondary cleanser or face cloth with it. Solid form and easy to rinse off formula makes it very convenient to take on my travels if I scoop it into smaller container. To use: Make sure you start off with dry hands and dry face, because it emulsifies on contact with water. Place a small scoop on palm, warm and massage it all over your face till molten to oily texture. Then, put a little warm water on your hand and gently massage to emulsify. Repeat a few times, until you feel the texture becoming thinner, then rinse to a clean, refreshed and soften skin.
#yay this is my first cleansing balm and i’m quite enjoying it so far. there is a noticeable scent that some may be concerned about but i dont really mind. this hasnt broken me out as i use a second cleanser after but this emulsifies and rinses off completely clean. i havent tried to use this with my waterproof eye makup yet as i use a separate remover but it does take off base makeup well. overall, not a bad product and i would definitely recommend if you have the option of trying it!
Solid cleansing balm, that melts in your hand. Very little to no fragrance. Stays solid, doesn't turn mushy. Removes makeup effectively in one wash. Non-irritating. Definitely one of the better solid cleansing balms that I have used recently; I liked it better than Banila Co Clean It Zero (original). This one might be another favorite, after Heimish.
My all time favourite cleansing balm! I haven't had much luck with cleanser balms in the past - Banila Co's one stung my eyes and made them all blurry, making it really hard for me to use it to take my makeup off. I kinda avoided cleansing balms from that point onwards. This one is thick and creamy, almost like butter and it just melts makeup away sooo beautifully. I have been using this for the last year and I'm gonna keep using it. The packaging also makes it super easy to travel with as it doesn't spill in your bag.
Love the beautiful packaging and hanbang (Traditional Korean herbal) ingredients. The cleansing balm has a sherbet consistency and works great as the first oil step in the double cleanse method. Leaves my skin so moisturized! There's barely any scent and stays solid to give you enough time to rub it in. Some notable ingredients - Rice Bran Water, Lavender Water and Vitamin E. Love that they don't use mineral oil!
